FORT WORTH, Texas (Aug. 11, 2021) – The Allied Pilots Association (APA), representing the 14,000 pilots of American Airlines, congratulates Jennifer Homendy upon her confirmation by the U.S. Senate this week to serve a three-year term as National Transportation Safety Board Chair.
“Ms. Homendy is eminently qualified to serve in this important capacity,” APA President Capt. Eric Ferguson said. “We are pleased to extend our congratulations to her and commend the Senate for its selection. Our union’s safety officials have worked with Ms. Homendy in her previous capacity as an NTSB member and have found her to be fair and knowledgeable. We wish her all the best as she assumes her new duties and stand ready to assist however we can.”
