Attention, Recalled Pilots: Verify AA Benefits by Tomorrow
The following information was in the Jan. 15 and Jan. 22 editions of the APA News Digest.
Recalled pilots can make changes to their 2020 and/or 2021 health benefits through American Airlines. According to information provided by AA, changes made for December 2020 will be retroactive to Dec. 1. Changes can be made until Jan. 30. Additional information can be found on AAPilots.com.
All recalled pilots, even those who requested VELOAs, are encouraged to log on to the benefits portal of JetNet or contact AA Benefits as soon as possible to verify coverage and update it as necessary. Recalled pilots who wish to elect no AA benefits still need to advise AA through JetNet, or by calling AA Benefits directly. Most pilots have been able to make changes easily online or by calling AA Benefits. However, pilots needing any additional assistance can contact the Compass Project at 817-302-2401 or CompassProject@alliedpilots.org.
Important: The Jan. 30 deadline for these changes is not flexible, and we do not anticipate there will be any extensions.
