COVID-19 Pregnancy/Postpartum Guide
During these uncertain times, Compass Project Coordinators are dedicated to serving our pilot family. We realize that our AA “family” is not only our team in the workplace, but also is our family we see when we get home.
As the Compass Project’s Parental Leave Coordinator, I have received numerous calls and emails from our pilots who are concerned about how the possible exposure of COVID -19 might affect their own pregnancy, or the health of a pregnant family member. These are valid concerns. New protocols for doctor’s visits and delivery procedures are outlined in the Compass document COVID-19 Pregnancy/Postpartum Guide, along with the most up-to-date guidance from leading health organizations.
Due to the lack of data, not much is known about how COVID -19 could affect both mom and baby, but we recommend airing on the side of caution to protect you, your family, and your unborn child as best as possible.
Our amazing team of mentors and I are available anytime to help discuss your concerns and guide you to the proper resources to answer your questions. Fortunately, there are options available to get the time off needed to protect you and your family. Our team is ready to assist you in going over these options.
We’re here to help you navigate through this unique period of your career, and we look forward to better times ahead.
