Department: Information Technology

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in server hardware and software procurement
  • 5+ years on the job experience installing/maintaining/administering workstations and servers
  • 5+ years of customer support experience
  • Minimum 5 or more years of experience in Microsoft server operating system maintenance
  • HP Server/Windows Desktop/Windows Laptop/Macintosh Laptop client software support
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V and how to setup and maintain virtual servers
  • Understanding of Windows based operating systems both at the workstation and server levels and how to setup workstations and servers in a domain environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Server hardware installation experience
  • Very strong analytical skills and proficient at problem solving
  • Familiarity with Anti-Virus applications, preferably ESET System Manager
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Additional experience in providing remote client support using tools such as Remote Desktop, TeamViewer, VPN, or WebEx

INITIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide staff and pilot support for desktop computers, servers, laptops and peripherals
  • Install, configure, support, and remove workstation and server software including but not limited to all versions of Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10, Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter and Standard, Microsoft Office 2010, 2013 and 2016, and Anti-Virus
  • Manage user accounts and security groups on multiple systems including active directory and Microsoft Exchange
  • Provide administration and support for the Association's backup system
  • Interacts heavily with the APA Network Manager in routine maintenance tasks of the local area network and servers
  • Assist Network Manager with server hardware and support
  • Responsible for ordering new hardware and software with appropriate approval
  • Provides board system support during onsite events and offsite events
  • Participates as part of a team and updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and electronically to all levels of staff
  • Able to adapt to new technologies
  • Provide reports as requested from Network Engineer Manager or IT Director
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
