Candidates for APA vice president are: DFW First Officer Rob Baker, DFW Captain Peter Campbell, DFW First Officer Anthony R. Chapman, DFW First Officer Cyndi Dawson, ORD Captain Jack Johnston, MIA Captain Mike Leone and LAX Captain Randy LeRuth.
Candidates for APA secretary-treasurer are: ORD First Officer Sam Bertling, DFW Captain David “Duke” Duquemin, LGA First Officer David Fredrickson, SFO Captain William Haug, ORD First Officer Bron Madrigan, DFW Captain Mark A. McCord and DFW First Officer Scott Shankland.
All three offices are subject to a nomination round of voting. National Officer nomination round ballots will be mailed on Tuesday, February 16 and are due back to the P.O. Box by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9. The ballots will be tallied on Wednesday, March 10, and results will be announced that day.
APA DOMICILE ELECTIONS UPDATE: Ballots for the DFW vice chairman nomination round were counted today. Out of 736 total votes cast, the results are as follows: First Officer Scott Francis – 26 votes, First Officer David M. Hill – 93 votes, First Officer J.J. Jackson 49 votes, First Officer Jeffrey A. Leisten – 52 votes, Captain Charlie Lohman – 185 votes, First Officer Russell Moore – 191 votes, and First Officer Greg Shayman – 115 votes.
In accordance with the APA Constitution and Bylaws, the top three vote recipients will continue on to the primary election round.
Domicile elections are ongoing in DCA and DFW. The remaining candidates for each position are:
DCA Chairman: Captain Bert Booth, Captain Bill Gary.
DCA Vice Chairman: First Officer David E. Gangwer, First Officer Michael King.
DFW Chairman: First Officer Rob Baker, Captain A.F. “Rusty” McDaniels. DFW Vice Chairman: First Officer Charlie Lohman, First Officer Russell Moore, First Officer Greg Shayman.
The election ballots for those positions will be mailed on Thursday, February 25, and must be returned to the P.O. Box by 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 18.
